Face Lift Before and After Patient Photo - Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery

If you desire rejuvenation to combat the signs of aging, consult with a surgeon from Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery about Rhytidectomy, or a facelift. Seattle men and women have come to Anderson Cosmetic Surgery, now Anderson Sobel Cosmetic Surgery, for nearly 38 years for facial rejuvenation. Indeed, this practice has been known as 1-800-THE-FACE for well over a decade.

Dr. Sobel, who is a board certified surgeon in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, has performed thousands of cosmetic procedures for all types of patients. Individual skin type, bone structure, age, and skin elasticity are all carefully analyzed in our complimentary consultations in Bellevue so Dr. Sobel can design each procedure for maximum improvement of each patient and best assist them in their decision-making process. Patients have the choice of local anesthesia, oral relaxation medications, IV sedation, or general anesthesia for these types of procedures at Dr. Sobel’s Washington State licensed surgical suite in Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Sobel’s patients also have the option of having their procedure at the hospital if they prefer. However, he is particularly proud of his hand-selected staff. Please see our Google+ and Facebook pages to get to know Megan, Amanda, Julia, Malisa, Lela, Katie, Allyn, Jessica, and Pam.

During the facelift, underlying muscle and connective tissue are repositioned and tightened. Dr. Sobel is particular in restoring the underlying corset, which supports the face and neck. The resulting excess skin is removed. For men, the incision is aligned with the beard line whereas for women, some of the incision may be concealed within the ear itself. In all cases, the incision is placed in the natural creases of the skin for camouflage. The incisions are closed with fine sutures. Patients may be driven home the same day by a family member or friend. For our out-of-state guests, we have arrangements with hotel, nursing, and transfer services to accommodate a variety of needs and desires.

For a facelift, Seattle and Bellevue patients typically report very little discomfort after surgery, but medication will be prescribed to alleviate any pain. Dr. Sobel uses ample amounts of local anesthetic even while his patients are asleep for their maximal comfort upon waking. Some swelling and bruising are to be expected and may be minimized by sleeping with the head of the bed elevated and taking frequent walks. Dressings will be removed at a follow-up examination in one to two days. All sutures are removed between five to ten days. Facelift surgery may be combined with other procedures for enhanced results. Depending on your desired outcome and unique concerns, we may recommend eyelid surgery in Seattle.

Open letter to the staff of Anderson • Sobel Cosmetic Surgery:

When I began this journey, I followed all the recommendations to ensure I had the right physician with the right credentials performing the right procedures for me. Dr. Anderson filled all those criteria and many more as I found out but I could have never known in advance how everyone I came in contact with at ACS would assist me along the way and surpass my expectations.

I certainly expected the highest level of professionalism and medical expertise. As a nurse, I watched for proper attention to standards of practice and never observed anything even questionable. But I quickly discovered what I experienced at ACS was also intangible, from your hearts and centered on making me feel care for as a patient and cared about as a person. Everyone associated with the practice understands that this is as much an emotional experience as it is a physical one. Unwavering support, sensitivity, empathy and honest responses to any and all questions built my trust and reduced my anxiety with every office visit and phone call.

Now into follow up care, I am grateful to be guided by educated skin care professionals on maintaining my ‘investment.’ No more cosmetic counter, magazine or TV commercial empty promises from strangers, you care about me and my ongoing success. I could not have anticipated the impact of making this decision on my daily life and self esteem or the enjoyment I have gotten from sharing my positive experiences since the procedure with my ACS ‘support team’.

I’ve gained (and thankfully lost) a number of things from this surgery not the least of which is a reaffirmation that there is no substitute for thoughtful preparation in making a decision like this. But what I intend to share with everyone at every opportunity is that ACS is the gold standard in total patient care addressing the whole person before, during and following the procedure. I have had the pleasure of experiencing a transformation with your guidance. I have also grown to know and respect each of you for your priceless contribution and to consider you as friends.
