The SoftForm© facial implant is a persistent yet removable facial implant for the treatment of deep facial furrows or creases such as nasolabial folds (creases between the nose and corners of the mouth), deep frown lines and definition of the vermilion border (the border surrounding the lips). The implant will help provide substantial correction of the furrow or crease. However, it may be necessary to use another product, such as Collagen Replacement Therapy ©, to achieve full correction of the treatment area.
GORE© S.A.M {ePTFE} Facial Implants
Unlike some other materials, ePTFE is not "rejected" by the body, so implants made with it can remain in place permanently, and no "anti-rejection" treatment is necessary after the implantation surgery. Among the 4 million ePTFE implants to date, there have been no confirmed cases of an allergic reaction to the material.
AlloDerm© Facial Implants
Alloderm© is used both as a surface skin graft for replacing skin loss, from burn injuries or cancer excisions, and as an implant inserted under the surface of the skin to correct soft tissue defects. When applied as a surface skin graft, an extremely thin autograft of the patient's own skin is placed on top, providing similar skin color and texture. When used as an implant to repair or replace damaged or inadequate tissue, AlloDerm can be folded, rolled or stacked to provide the amount of tissue needed. AlloDerm has been used both as a surface graft and as an implant for almost every area of the body.
