Patients seek Nasal Surgery, or Rhinoplasty, for several reasons. They may seek to alter their noses to a more pleasing shape, correct the result of an injury, or correct obstructed breathing. The aging nose can also be altered to help rejuvenate a patient's face. Young persons must be about fifteen before nasal surgery can be performed.
Dr. Anderson, specializing in cosmetic surgery of the
face, places an emphasis in his practice on rhinoplasty. Over his twenty-plus years of practice,

including rhinoplasty surgery. The patient's
age, skin type, nose shape and structure are carefully
examined at a consultation with the surgeon. Photographs
are taken and studied and a specific procedure is designed
for each individual's case. Dr. Anderson will explain

The rhinoplasty surgery takes place in Dr. Anderson's
own surgical suite in Bellevue, Washington which is AAAHC
accredited for maximum safety and hygiene. Patients receive
IV sedation. Incisions are usually made inside the nose
where they are invisible. Underlying cartilage and bone
are then removed or rearranged to provide a newly shaped
structure. A splint is placed on the nose to protect
it for about five days. Packing may be used inside the
nose to stabilize the structure. Bruising and swelling
can be reduced by cold compresses. It is important that
all follow-up exams are kept to assure proper healing.
Recovery time is approximately one week. Nose
surgery can vastly improve the appearance of the entire
face. The size and shape of the nose impacts the attractiveness of a person more than any other feature.
