"Open letter to the staff of Anderson • Sobel Cosmetic Surgery:
When I began this journey, l followed all the recommendations to insure I had the right physician with
the right credentials performing the right procedures for me. Dr. Anderson filled all those criteria and
many more as I found out but I could have never known in advance how everyone I came in contact with
at ACS would assist me along the way and surpass my expectations.
I certainly expected the highest level of professionalism and medical expertise. As a nurse, I watched for
proper attention to standards of practice and never observed anything even questionable. But I quickly
discovered what I experienced at ACS was also intangible, from your hearts and centered on making me
feel care for as a patient and cared about as a person. Everyone associated with the practice
understands that this is as much an emotional experience as it is a physical one. Unwavering support,
sensitivity, empathy and honest responses to any and all questions built my trust and reduced my
anxiety with every office visit and phone call.
Now into follow up care, I am grateful to be guided by educated skin care professionals on maintaining
my 'investment.' No more cosmetic counter, magazine or TV commercial empty promises from
strangers, you care about me and my ongoing success. I could not have anticipated the impact of
making this decision on my daily life and self esteem or the enjoyment I have gotten from sharing my
positive experiences since the procedure with my ACS 'support team'.
I've gained (and thankfully lost) a number of things from this surgery not the least of which is a
reaffirmation that there is no substitute for thoughtful preparation in making a decision like this. But

On Thermage:
"Being a guy I was pretty skeptical about Thermage, transforming this old mug into a Tom Cruise look alike. However my skepticism was completely blown away after the treatment. I'm still not tom cruise, but my wife thinks I look 10 years younger and that’s good enough for me.
I had my entire face done with the Thermage treatment, one side at a time. When the procedure was half way done, my wife and I looked at the first half results and it was like looking back in time, as the thermage side of my face was tighter in the jaw line area, my forehead was firm and my eyebrows didn’t sag as much, under my eyes was tighter and my troublesome under chin area was much tighter. The other major benefit I noticed is that my skin is rejuvenated to feel smooth and glowing – I call it the baby’s butt effect. It has been about a week since my treatment and I would do it again in a nanosecond. The treatment is relatively pain free, although the neck and under chin area was a bit more intense, but not enough to make me not want to do it again. I experienced no swelling, pain or other side effects that would prevent me from doing my work or social activities. In fact I went to a social dinner that night without a single person giving me a second look. The close friends that did notice later were so impressed that they too are investigating Thermage. My wife and mother in law (60’s) had thermage as a result of my experience and my mother in law looks amazing. Thermage really tightened and rejuvenated her skin. She is thinking of getting botox to further reduce her agelines and if she does she will look 10 year younger.
